This class would be relevant to engineers new to commercial EMC design, electrical engineers and engineering supervisors / managers.

Course Description:

This class will be targeted on the protocols to follow when your device is unable to pass emissions and susceptibility, both radiated and conducted. Specifically:

  • Which measurement techniques to employ between the time you discover your device is not passing to the time you go in the chamber to see what has gone wrong.
  • Techniques on determining the source of the failure issue.
  • Filter fix techniques that can be reproduced through manufacturing.
  • Determining Shielding failure and how to fix it on your device.
  • Shielding fix techniques that can be reproduced through manufacturing.

This brief presentation will dovetail into the morning classes by conducting a discussion around new materials that have been developed to meet the needs of manufacturers in a cost-conscious and fast moving market. There will also be a demonstration of the materials effectiveness and some take home samples for the attendees.
